AlphaPoint Technology Add Rack Visualization and Power Accounting Features
The more nimble IT Asset Management vendors are moving fast to meet the current strong demand for lower carbon emissions and power costs. AlphaPoint Technology is one of several vendors releasing new versions recently to harness IT Asset data and provide meaningful business intelligence on power consumption. The latest version of AssetCentral provides power attributes by rack, row, room or entire data center.
Paul Avery, speaking for AlphaPoint said “We’ve added this advanced functionality to the AssetCentral application to provide a visual and graphical overlay of power and weight attributes of a company’s data center.” Mr. Avery also added, “Many companies have been relying on complex and costly solutions that are limited in their ability to visually represent an organization’s assets. With the AssetCentral software, we’ve simplified the graphic representation for IT Asset management, and are assisting organizations in reducing IT costs and complexity, while increasing their control and ROI.”
