Excellence Awards 2020 – Call for Nominations
I’m delighted to announce the return of our Excellence Awards for 2020.
After a brief hiatus in 2019, allowing us to move the awards ceremony from November to April, the Excellence Awards are back!
Now in our fifth year, The ITAM Review Excellence Awards celebrate the achievements of true pioneers in the ITAM sector.
Our independent industry awards allow us to shine a light on ITAM professionals, teams, service providers, technology vendors, and specialists who are progressing the industry and leading the field in 2020.
Help us showcase ITAM industry excellence and inspire others by submitting an entry for our ITAM Review Excellence Awards. Deadline for submissions has been extended until Saturday 29 February 2020.
Winners will be announced in April 2020. Details to follow soon.

Award Guidelines
- Nominations must be submitted via the electronic form below on or before Friday 31.st January 2020
- Shortlisted entries are selected based on the QUALITY of submission, not QUANTITY. Voting multiple times for the same person or company will NOT alter the outcome.
- Award submissions will be judged by an independent industry panel.
- The information shared will be used for judging only and will remain completely confidential – nothing will be published about your submission or details contained within your submission without your explicit approval.
- International entrants most welcome (Our 2016 awards received over 200 nominations from 25 countries).
Excellence Awards Criteria
- Don’t worry if your ITAM department has not saved hundreds of millions – we are interested in your individual/team’s impact and the journey you have been on.
- We are interested in innovation, pioneering technology, techniques and approaches.
- We are interested in those practitioners delivering demonstrable ROI and value.
- For tool providers and partners, we’re particularly interested in customer satisfaction and successful execution.
- Overall, we at the ITAM Review, believe ITAM has a pivotal role in modern IT departments, addressing risk, efficient spend and business intelligence to make faster decisions – any nominations that reflect these strengths being implemented on a permanent basis making a lasting impact will be considered favourably.

- ‘What are the costs involved in participating?’
There are no costs involved for participating. Although, there will be a fee to attend the Charity Gala Dinner where the results will be announced. - ‘Can we nominate one of our partners?’
Yes - ‘What do the winners receive?’
The winners will receive a personalised trophy, a winners logo for promotion and recognition on The ITAM Review. - ‘Do we need to attend the gala to win the award?’

About Martin Thompson
Martin is also the founder of ITAM Forum, a not-for-profit trade body for the ITAM industry created to raise the profile of the profession and bring an organisational certification to market. On a voluntary basis Martin is a contributor to ISO WG21 which develops the ITAM International Standard ISO/IEC 19770.
He is also the author of the book "Practical ITAM - The essential guide for IT Asset Managers", a book that describes how to get started and make a difference in the field of IT Asset Management. In addition, Martin developed the PITAM training course and certification.
Prior to founding the ITAM Review in 2008 Martin worked for Centennial Software (Ivanti), Silicon Graphics, CA Technologies and Computer 2000 (Tech Data).
When not working, Martin likes to Ski, Hike, Motorbike and spend time with his young family.
