The Enterprise Opinions Group of companies (The ITAM Review, ITAM Review Learning and ITAM Review Careers) understand that your privacy is important to you and that you care about how your personal data is used. We respect and value the privacy of everyone who we interact with whether you visit our website, attend one of our events or apply for job. We do not collect personal data about you unless we need it for a specific purpose. Any personal data we do collect will only be used as permitted by law and according to the original purpose for collecting it in the first place, unless you give us permission to process it for other reasons or it is lawful for us to do so.

They are all legal entities in their own right but complement each other and all relate to IT asset management.
What Data Do We Collect?
The kind of personal data collected will vary depending on how you interact with us:
- If you register with us, for example for a webinar or attendance at one of our conferences, or to use the LISA system, we will collect personal information you are asked to supply as part of the registration:
- Name and job title
- Contact information including email address
- Demographic information such as postcode, preferences and interests
- If you visit one of our websites (http://marketplace.itassetmanagement.net, https://lisa.training (“our sites”), (https://itamcareers.net), we will collect your Internet Protocol (IP) addresses, details about your browser and your location (based on your IP address), which are automatically logged by our web servers.
- If you send us an email, contact us by phone or use one of our contact forms, we may collect your name, your email address, other contact information and any other information which you choose to give us.
- If you signup to receive our email newsletter, we will collect your name and email address
- If you sponsor one of our conferences or webinars or content published on our sites, we will collect contact information from your organisation for the purposes of managing the sponsorship opportunity
- If you apply for a job via the ITAM Review Careers service, we will collect certain information from you regarding your application. There is more information below about this
- If you register with the ITAM Review Careers service because you have a position you wish us to recruit for, we will collect information from you for the purposes of providing this service – more details about this can be found below
- If you apply for a job with us then we will store information about your application, such as your CV and will process and keep this data for as long as we’re considering your application or if it is lawful for us to do so
What we do with the information we gather?
We will only collect personal information from you that we require for a specific lawful purpose. It will always be obvious why we need the information. We require this information to understand your needs and provide you with a better service, in particular for the following reasons:
- Internal record keeping and to meet our legal obligations
- To provide our services to you
- To improve our products and services and the functionality of our sites
- To respond to your requests
- To signpost information that may be of interest to you such as directing you to downloading information that has been written by a third party or to register for one of our online conferences with multiple sponsors.
- We may also, where it is lawful for us to do so, periodically send promotional emails about new products / services, special offers or other information which we think you may find interesting using the email address which you have provided.
- From time to time, we may also use your information to contact you for market research purposes.

Cookies used to help us manage use of our website
We make use of Google’s reCAPTCHA service to protect “spam” comments and form filling. For this service to function, cookies are required.

Data specifically about users of our ITAM Review Careers service
We collect different types of personal data about you depending on what part of our ITAM Review Careers service you make use of (i.e. whether you’re a business looking to recruit, or you’re an applicant looking for a placement).
Data relating to clients using us to find them recruitment candidates
If you are a business working with us to use our recruitment services we will collect the following information about you:
- Your name
- Your contact details (e.g. your email address, mobile and/or fixed phone number)
- Details about your company including the company name and address
- Details about the vacancy you are intending to fill which will include description of the position, salary expectations and budget, etc.
We need this information to be able to offer our services and without it, we are unlikely to be able to provide our services to you. We will collect this information from you directly, or through registration forms on our website.
Personal data relating to candidates
To match you to a position using our service we will need to collect the following information about you:
- Your name
- Your contact details (email, phone and address)
- Your date of birth
- Details about your work preferences such as the type of work you’re looking for, whether it’s full-time or part-time, your salary expectations, preferred location, notice period and any additional information which will help us find you a position
- Details relating to your application (e.g. your CV, an application form (if relevant)) which may include additional information such as references, proof of permission to work, next of kin, details of any criminal convictions or health related information
- Any information you provide during the provision of our services to you relating to those services, such as interview notes or any information you provide during any discussions.
We will typically collect this information from you directly or via the application form on our website, but we may also collect additional information about you from other sources (where relevant):
- Credit reference agencies, from which we may collect information in relation to your credit history.
- Disclosure and Barring Service in respect of criminal convictions.
- Your named referees, from whom we collect information in relation to your employment history
We need this information to be able to offer our services and without it, we are unlikely to be able to provide our services to you.
Data collected for our online & in-person events
We often run online or in-person events in association with partners who sponsor or co-collaborate on these events. Where we do so, for the purposes of the event we will be joint-controller with the partner. As such, your registration details will be shared with the partner, who may contact you with information related to the joint project and/or their products and services.
How we use social media and third-party websites
We use a number of social media channels to promote our business and to interact with individuals.
We may use advertising functionality of these channels as well as search engines in conjunction with the cookies we use on our own sites to target advertising to you about our products and services. Where we do do, we will only do so when it is lawful to advertise in this way.
How we store your data
Any personal data we hold will be processed and stored securely, for no longer than is necessary in light of the reason(s) for which it was first collected. We will comply with our obligations and safeguard your rights under the GDPR at all times.
We use a number of third-party systems to store your personal data; these will vary depending on whether you call us on the phone, email us, sign up for our newsletter, for an online conference, etc.
We will only store the minimal amount of information in these systems and we only use third-party systems that we can trust to be GDPR compliant. We also make sure we have a contract (sometimes called a Data Processing Agreement or DPA) in place to legally bind that compliance.
For some of these third-party systems this does mean that your data may be stored and processed outside the European Economic Area (EEA). Where this is the case, we have made sure that appropriate safeguards are in place to ensure appropriate protection for your data.
Retention of your personal information

Keeping your data up to date

Erasure of your data (the “right to be forgotten”)
Under some circumstances you may wish to delete the data we hold about you. It may not always be possible for us to do this, but you should put your request in an email using the contact details below

Some of the data we collect from you are for very specific purposes and without this information we may not be able to provide our products and services to you.
