About this event

Come and spend a day learning what’s new in the world of VMware licensing.

Most modern enterprises use VMware as their virtualisation platform of choice but how many really know how to license it?  The vendor is releasing new products and bundles all the time and, with monthly contract updates, new terms by which to license them.  This course will take you through the core virtualisation products (vSphere, vCenter and vRealize), how to license them, the programs through which you can purchase them and pitfalls to watch out for.

Whether you are an IT asset manager, procurement professional or solution architect, there will be something within this course that will be of value to you in your daily role.

Testimonials and reviews

“Barry is an expert in Software Licensing, he undertook a piece of work to review our license requirements and was quickly able to allocate licenses across our estate where they had previously been incorrectly allocated and removed the requirement to procure further licenses.  I would recommend Barry to anyone who requires an independent license review of their estate.”

“I have worked with Barry on numerous SAM and licensing assignments. From this I have gathered that his strong technical, commercial and licensing knowledge are a clear asset… A rare mix of skills to find and an even rarer set to see executed in the practice of this discipline. This leaves me able to say with confidence, that Barry is one of the ‘best in the biz’”

“Supporting BAU license activity, also acting as a key point of knowledge on complex license requests, and aiding us in making the most of our existing investments.”

“…worked as an advisor to solution designers and architects, to implement the best, cost effective solutions in many high level projects, often highlighting cost avoidance during these exercises.

“He is able to cut through the complexity to get to what’s needed.”
