Vector Offers Managed Service Providers Web-enabled IT Asset Management Solution
Vector Networks today announced an initiative to develop new partnerships with Managed Service Providers, focused on a Web-based implementation of its proven IT Asset Management solution set. Having trialled the Web implementation extensively in its customer base in mid-range enterprises, Vector identified the match of the technology with the needs of MSPs serving the SMB market.
Kevin Kiley, Vector’s VP Sales said, “The architecture is flexible and offers the MSP a set of options in how they deploy the Asset Management capability. We can also provide a progression in the functionality licensed. Initial focus is on network and PC Discovery and Mapping, and full Hardware and Software Inventory enabling the MSP to establish a database of the configurations being managed, and the situation on software license compliance. We can then introduce Software Usage Monitoring, identify unused software and enable the MSP to introduce a process of Software Asset Optimization.”
Service Provider partners will also be encouraged to expand their offering to their SMB customers by licensing the recently released Application Jukebox application streaming platform, for which Vector recently became an Integration Partner with Endeavors Inc. Kevin Kiley added, “Once the Software Asset Optimization process has indicated the true nature of application usage, App Jukebox is a natural progression for anyone determined to reduce their software licensing and maintenance costs. It also functions well in distributed Web-based scenarios, and is natural extension of Vector’s MSP Asset Management toolset.”
In the North American market, Vector has appointed Annabel Devonshire to lead the MSP recruitment drive. Annabel brings over twenty years experience in the development on national and international partner and franchise networks, many revolving around the products of major players such as IBM. Annabel says “After working for a long time with highly visible product sets from major companies, I am relishing the opportunity to help take Vector’s technology to the wider market that it deserves. It is great to be working with such a committed team and such strong technology.”
