Analyst Review - AJ Witt, 2019

Axios’ Assyst ITSM product is very well-regarded and of long standing in a mature market. In keeping with many competitors in the ITSM space Axios have built out capabilities in other areas to supplement the strength of their ITSM product. Their experience of dealing with large customers – the target customer for their products is 5000+ seats – has been applied to ITAM by way of their IT Operations Management (ITOM) product.

It is this integrated, platform approach which is Assyst ITOM’s greatest strength. Placing ITAM in the context of how the rest of IT is managed offers opportunities for data-sharing and insight not possible with solutions just focused on ITAM. For example, Assyst ITOM surfaces Service Mapping, enabling an IT Asset Manager to see software and hardware deployments in the context of the service they provide to the business. It’s one thing to know there are some unpatched, out-of-support SQL Servers in your environment, but do you know what they’re used for? Assyst ITOM’s Service Mapping enables that.
