Adobe price increases: Could Ado BE any more expensive?

Whatever Microsoft can do, Adobe can do too, right? April 27th, 2022 sees the introduction of Adobe price increases of 4-7% for Adobe Creative Cloud products in 36 countries. Just as with Microsoft, the justification for the increase is new apps and features including:

  • 1TB per license storage
  • Extended version history
  • Asset reclamation

The new pricing will apply to products bought directly from Adobe from April 27th while customers with current contracts will see the new pricing at their next renewal post May 3rd, 2022. It is believed this increase impacts commercial and government customers, but not those in education.

  • Creative Cloud for teams single app plans
  • Creative Cloud for teams All Apps plan
  • Creative Cloud for enterprise single app plans
  • Creative Cloud for enterprise All Apps plan

Our analysis on the Adobe price rises

For some organisations, a 4% – 7% increase on their Adobe spend could be significant. This represents a good opportunity to analyse your organisation’s Adobe usage – does everyone with a license still need it, are all licenses assigned, could an “All Apps” plan be swapped for a “Single App” etc.?  Also look at where you might be able to negotiate with your reseller partner and/or Adobe to offset some of this increase.
