Presentations

IMG_0493With the same format as our Microsoft Licensing Seminar which was held in London on 17th September, the day begun with a presentation from Christof Beaupoil from our Platinum Sponsors Aspera: ‘Nature & Nurture: Achieving Optimized Licensing for Windows Server & SQL in Virtual Environments’.

Duncan Jones of Forrester Research who kindly presented at both the London and New York Microsoft Seminars delivered ‘Rethink Your Microsoft Licensing Strategy’, before a a brief refreshment break.

Delegates then reconvened to be taken through the ‘Trends in Microsoft Licensing & CCL Research Summary’ from Martin Thompson.

Kevin Suckow from SoftwareONE took to the stage before lunch for the final plenary session with his presentation ‘How to optimize your Microsoft Investments without Hurting Yourself’.

Workshops

A hearty lunch was followed by two interactive workshops; the first being delivered by Duncan Jones, which explored collaborating with partners using Microsoft Technology.

The second interactive workshop allowed delegates to discuss licensing issues around three topics that they identified before the event as specific pain points; Office 365, Migration: Cloud, Licensing Models & SQL Server. During this workshop, delegates discussed the three topics with each other and our subject matter experts.

After a packed day full of Microsoft Licensing, sponsors 1E kindly invited attendees from the event to their 1E After Work networking drinks at a nearby bar. Thanks to 1E for their hospitality!
