The danger of signing audit clauses when measurement is not defined

In this video, Geoff Worsely, SAM Enterprise Architect of Aspera shares his advice when entering into Software Agreements as they may not be as transparent as they seem. As an ex auditor himself, he advises to check through audit clauses thoroughly to ensure as a customer, we understand what our obligations are.

• Are customers entering into software agreements without knowing their true obligations?
• Are vendors encouraging customers to sign agreements  knowing full well the customer does not have sufficient maturity to measure consumption?
