Call for speakers: Wisdom Australia 2019 & USA 2020

Upcoming conferences

With our conferences newly named “Wisdom”, November 2019 sees us head to Melbourne for our 3rd Australian conference, and then in March 2020 we’ll once again be at USF in St Petersburg, Florida for our 4th USA conference. We’re doing this call for speakers now to give you all the best opportunity to come and join us!

Call for speakers - Melbourne and St Petersburg

What we find, time and time again, is the more speakers we have from end-user organisations – the better the conference is…so help us make these upcoming conferences the best yet!

If you’ve got a great story, we – and all our delegates – want to hear it. ITAM is a wide-ranging industry and we welcome sessions on any aspect you think will be interesting and useful, a few suggestions to get you started include:

• Managing audits (from any vendor)
• Engaging with stakeholders (Finance, Procurement, Legal, Marketing etc.)
• Cloud cost management (IaaS/SaaS)
• Open Source
• Managing a CMDB
• Hardware Asset Management (HAM)
• IT Asset Disposal (ITAD)
• Licensing in the cloud (IaaS/SaaS)
• Digital Transformation
• Security
• Building an ITAM team
• Internet of Things

There are plenty of things I’ve not covered there, so don’t let that list limit you…we have always got a place for great insight! Think back over your career – what do you wish you knew before embarking on certain projects? Come along, speak, and share your knowledge to help make things slightly smoother for others!

Success Stories

If public speaking isn’t your usual thing, we know a 1-hour session can be pretty intimidating so, starting in the UK this year, we’ve introduced new 15-minute “Success Story” speaking slots. These are focused particularly around a success you’ve had in your career and we’d like to hear:

• What you did
• How you did it
• Why you did it
• What the outcome was
• How it affected your career and standing

This can be a great way to start your speaking journey, and we’re here to help with tips and advice if needed.

Whether you speak for 15 minutes or 1 hour, and whether this conference will be your first time speaking or your umpteenth, I can guarantee* you’ll enjoy it!

*I can’t actually guarantee this, but I’m pretty sure you will 😉

Women in ITAM

Our 2019 Wisdom UK conference saw us host our first “Women in ITAM” session, and it went very well – lots of great interaction, ideas, questions, and a book recommendation too! We’d love to run a similar session in Australia and the USA too. If you’d like to be involved in this, please let us know on the speaker registration form and we’ll be in touch.

Still don’t fancy speaking?

No problem – we’d love to have you as an attendee!

With 2 days of plenary sessions and workshops, plus an optional day of Microsoft licensing training (other vendors to be confirmed), the chance to see some of the latest tools available, AND fantastic networking with your peers – it’s fair to say these ITAM Review events are not to be missed!
