ITAM Training: New LISA courses and exams added

We’re always working hard to add new content to LISA, our online licensing and ITAM training platform, and have recently added a whole host of new content for all existing and new subscribers.

Learn more about LISA here: https://lisa.training/

Additional Microsoft modules

Keeping up the steady stream of new Microsoft content, these additional modules cover topics such as:

  • Licensing Programs
  • Office 365 Multi-Geo capabilities
  • Power BI Pro
  • Microsoft Azure pricing
  • Microsoft Azure cost management
  • End of Life for Windows Server & SQL Server 2008/R2

So, whether you’re new to Microsoft or an experienced professional, there’s something new for you there!

IBM Licensing Certification

In conjunction with Fisher ITS, we have added the IBM licensing certification exam to complement the existing IBM licensing course within LISA. If you’ve already completed the IBM course within LISA or have existing IBM skills, the new exam will give you a good way to check your knowledge and get certified.

VMware Licensing

Created and delivered by Barry Pilling from Cortex Consulting, this course covers an introduction to VMware technologies and products such as:

  • vSphere
  • vCenter
  • vRealize

as well as looking at key ITAM elements such as renewals, support, audits, and EULAs.

Barry has delivered an in-person version of this course in Florida and England and got great feedback from the delegates. If you’d like to understand more about this vendor which, for most organisations, is critical to your datacentre – this is the course for you. We also have a certification exam available for you to check your knowledge and become accredited.

NEW! Cloud ITAM training courses

We have launched the initial modules in our 2 brand-new and exciting, cloud courses:

  • ITAM for IaaS
  • ITAM for SaaS

These courses will help guide you from your first foray into the cloud through to being an asset manager with Thor-like control over the cloud!

The current introductory content includes:

  • A look at the differences between IaaS, SaaS, and PaaS
  • The key differences between managing on-premises assets and cloud assets – both IaaS and SaaS
  • Which stakeholders need to be involved in cloud decisions
  • Key cloud topics such as right-sizing, Reserved Instances, managing subscription contracts and more
  • An overview of available tools on the market
  • Ways you can start to make cloud asset management work in your organisation

I can guarantee there will be LOTS more content coming to these courses throughout 2019 and beyond – cloud is a huge, important topic and we’re keen to help you all wherever we can!
