I would like to revisit research first conducted in 2016 by The ITAM Review to explore how ITAM Review readers are getting on with implementing ITAM tools and engaging with ITAM managed service providers. This ITAM Review community survey looks at the secrets of success for ITAM tool implementation and what characteristics organisations seek when selecting service providers.
No ITAM tool or Service Provider offers a silver bullet to the complexity of ITAM; it takes a balanced approach of People, Process and Technology – but what are the true secrets to succeeding with ITAM technology? Please share your experiences with us so we can share insights with the ITAM Review community.
The survey is open to all ITAM Review readers, whether you have a SAM/ITAM tool or managed service provider in place or not.

- Identify trends in ITAM Tool implementation – techniques and approaches
- Identify satisfaction levels with existing tools and service providers

About Martin Thompson
Martin is also the founder of ITAM Forum, a not-for-profit trade body for the ITAM industry created to raise the profile of the profession and bring an organisational certification to market. On a voluntary basis Martin is a contributor to ISO WG21 which develops the ITAM International Standard ISO/IEC 19770.
He is also the author of the book "Practical ITAM - The essential guide for IT Asset Managers", a book that describes how to get started and make a difference in the field of IT Asset Management. In addition, Martin developed the PITAM training course and certification.
Prior to founding the ITAM Review in 2008 Martin worked for Centennial Software (Ivanti), Silicon Graphics, CA Technologies and Computer 2000 (Tech Data).
