Clarity with Software Asset Management ROI Figures
The UK based SAM consultancy start up, SAMPractice, has recently announced it’s first year results.
Jason Allaway, CEO for SAM Practice said he was ‘delighted‘ with the results.
Unfortunately the figures supporting their results look slightly dubious.
Can SAMPractice really be supporting a “30-employee strong organisation” with “offices in four locations in the UK and one in New York” with only £1M turnover?
Can we assume their Software Asset Management Return on Investment Figures are equally as shaky?
“For every £1 spent in 2007/2008 with SAM Practice, the firm returned £16 to its customers IT budget”
Software Asset Management can deliver tangible results and relatively quick return on investment. However the industry needs to provide tangible evidence and solid investment projections in order to gain wider adoption and credibility at board level.
